Acts 3:1-6
One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer-at three in the afternoon...


When Peter and John went up to the temple courts together, they were able to produce a great miracle of faith together.


Do we also want to produce the great miracles in our faith?

Looking at them, they weren't the one's who matched each other's qualities well.

Peter was the one who had denied and fled.

But though he fled, and denied Jesus, his courage and faith and determination had brought back to Jesus...

John, able to recognise this courage, followed Peter too and through this walking together - an amazing miracle was opened up.

Our actions should always have this kind of love and faith at the centre too - when there were differences between the early apostles, these were laid aside and a greater history was always opened up.

So it should be for us too.

Like Peter and John, our image should always have courage and faith like Peter, together with gentleness and love like John. When these two meet together, an amazing miracle can be performed, like the healing of this beggar...


One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer-at three in the afternoon. Now a man crippled from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money.

Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, "Look at us!" So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.

Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man's feet and ankles became strong...
