The Bible Society has announced the appointment of a new member of the Communications team, who has had experience with the United Nations, to increase its efficiency of spreading the Word.

Bible Society has appointed a new Public Relations Officer, Yemi Folayan, a Nigerian native, who has been internationally trained with experience in public relations, marketing, politics and international relations.

With a background in fundraising and working with international organisations like the United Nations, Yemi is the latest addition to the Bible Society’s communications team.

In the words of Emily Allen, the head of HR, “Yemi is what the society needs; she brings a fresh look of PR, with an innovative and creative flair to the communications team.”

At a time when the church is experiencing a decline in attendance and Christian values are compromised for political correctness, the Bible Society has said that it is moving ahead with plans for influencing a greater change in the society.

Commenting on her appointment, Yemi Folayan said, “The decision to work for the Bible Society is based on a desire to show people the importance and significance of the power of the Word of God. There is a lot controversy around religion, which I find is a good thing.

“This is a good time to open up the debate. I look forward to creating an awareness of the Bible Society and what it stands for.”

With a vision to cease the right opportunities and build stronger relationships with the society, the new communications department aims to be more dynamic and innovative in making the Word of God relevant.

According to Peter Meadows Director of Communications of the Bible Society, “We are looking to take on the challenge of changing our society for the better, this change occurs one person at a time.”

The Bible Society in its pursuit of perfection and is still in the process of making the perfect communications team, with the hopes of appointing a head of communications in coming months.
