ISLAMABAD - Pakistan has "intelligence intercepts" indicating that al Qaeda was behind the killing of opposition leader Benazir Bhutto, the Interior Ministry said on Friday.

"We have intelligence intercepts indicating that al Qaeda leader Baitullah Mehsud is behind her assassination," ministry spokesman Javed Iqbal Cheema told a news conference.

Mehsud is one of Pakistan's most wanted militant leaders and is based in the South Waziristan region on the Afghan border.

Sirs: A Joyous Christmas and New Year to you! Regarding the claim that Al-Q is behind the murder of Mrs. Bhutto, it would certainly not be surprising to learn that this is so. Let us pray for the repentance from sin and for faith in Jesus Christ by the Paklistanis and the Al-Q network, that the war on terrorism might cease, and that, more basically, God might be glorified by those who, as yet, do not know and glorify Him. As always, thank you for the opportunity to respond. Sincerely in Christ, Paul Griffin the war on terrorism goes on.
