Christians in Oswestry will say prayers for a family found dead in what is believed to be a murder-suicide.

The bodies of Susan McFall, 56, and 18-year-old Francesca were found at their home in the small Shropshire town on Friday morning.

The body of 48-year-old Hugh McFall, 48, was discovered later at an industrial lock-up he rented close to the family home.

Police believe Mr McFall, a flower salesman, killed his wife and daughter before taking his own life.

Local vicar the Rev Simon Thorburn will lead prayers for the family during service at Oswestry parish church today.

He said the community was in shock over the tragedy and that thoughts had turned to the welfare of neighbours, according to MSNBC.

"There is undoubted shock, and you will see people talking to one another, not only about this tragedy but the fact that it's only two years since a very similar tragedy in Maesbrook when another family died in seemingly similar circumstances," he was quoted as saying.

"I think people are thinking about other friends they know, and who else is in trouble and you don't really know about it. It makes you wonder what is behind this door and that door."
