Popular rock band Switchfoot, currently selling out shows across North America on the 'Oh! Gravity' Tour, has recently announced an additional string of concert appearances at major Christian music festivals in the US throughout summer 2007.

Switchfoot will hit the ground running at the Ichthus Festival 16 June in Kentucky, Alive Festival 22 June in Ohio, Creation Northeast 27 June in Pennsylvania, Cornerstone Festival 29 June in Illinois, Sonshine Festival 14 July Minnesota, Creation Northwest 27 July in Washington, and Spirit West Coast 8 August in California.

The band is currently on a 41-city "Oh! GravityTour" of the United States and Canada, following a sell-out concert run through
Europe.

During the European tour, the band, who are popular among the Christian community for their spiritually-yearning songs and their humble "backstage" presence, enchanted heated concertgoers with old and new songs.

Lead singer Jonathan Foreman shares with Christian Today: "It's something to be thankful for. You can come half-way around the world and you have people singing along. That's an honour."

In other news, Switchfoot is currently shooting a new music video for "Awakening", from their latest critically acclaimed album Oh! Gravity..
