The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

Matthew 13:44-46

Through these two parables, Jesus is revealing to us the image of kingdom of heaven. As we have many questions and we truly want to know how can we enter heaven and become a people of God, it is truly precious that this image was revealed to us.

For where your treasure is, there your heart wil be also

Kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. What kind of treasure and pearl is it, that the man went and sold all he had and bought it? It is the most important thing that fills up the hearts of man and shows us the reason of our lives.

Priceless truth - the word of God that Jesus taught us is the biggest treasure and finest pearl. It is much more valuable than just simple limited things of this world that we try to posses, because the truth is something infinite, something that remains forever.

Eternal Word that God gave to man in the beginning, that can truly make us fruitful and through which we are to build the kingdom of heaven. However, man lost this precious treasure, this finest pearl. Jesus Christ was the one to divulge it again so that we can grow again and restore our original image.

That's why, we must be the ones to seek and find this everlasting treasure in our lives more than anything else. Even though there are so many things in our lives, we always have to be able to set up the clear priority. Jesus told us "Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well".

So let us truly live wisely and use our time not to store up the treasures on the earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal, but store up treasures in heaven. For where our treasure is, there our heart will be also.
