Popular American Christian rapper/singer TobyMac will release Portable Sounds, following his critically acclaimed albums Momentum(2001) and Welcome to Diverse City (2004), which both received Grammy nominations and awarded RIAA Gold Certifications last month.

Fans will get a live taste of the February 20 release from TobyMac on the upcoming "Portable Sounds" tour in the US, starting 15 March. The tour will also feature the hot line-up of Thousand Foot Krutch, Building 429, and Family Force 5.

"The 'Portable Sounds' tour is coming to your town with a diverse set-up of hip-hop, rock and funk," shares TobyMac. "My hope for this tour is that we ignite a party that causes people to think."

In other news, TobyMac will take part in a concert in London, which promotes awareness for African-based HIV/AIDS charities.

The show, which will be held at the Royal Albert Hall on 7 May, will also feature British worship leader Brenton Brown, Grammy-nominated artist Ayiesha Woods, King Charles, the African Children's Choir, and a guest appearance by Kevin Max (from dc talk), who will join TobyMac on stage for a few songs.

TobyMac is a founding member of the Grammy Award-winning and best-selling group (over 8 million albums sold) in Christian music, dc talk. He is the founder of Gotee Records and co-founder of the E.R.A.C.E. Foundation (Eliminating Racism and Creating Equality) in Franklin, Tennessee.
