The 800-seat event is a complete sell-out, with representation from across the Christian community, including many black majority churches.
Speakers at the event will give a wide range of perspectives on the important anniversary. They include: Bishop James Jones (Bishop of Liverpool), David Cameron MP (Leader of the Conservative Party), Rev Katei Kirby (General Manager of the African and Caribbean Evangelical Alliance), Pastor Agu Irukwu (Senior Pastor, Jesus House for all Nations), Bishop Wayne Malcolm (Senior Pastor and Bishop of Christian Life City).
CCF Executive Director Elizabeth Berridge said, "The event hopes to commemorate the anniversary in a manner that resonates well with every section of the community. It is an important opportunity for the Christian community and the Conservative Party to remember the horrors of the transatlantic slave trade, look at the legacies that remain and focus on how we can move forward.
"We are delighted to have speakers with us from both the African and African-Caribbean communities, as well as Bishop James Jones and David Cameron, who will be sharing their perspectives with each other and the audience on these important issues."
