LONDON - Two people died in a house fire in a seaside town in Kent on Thursday, police said.

More than 20 firefighters were called to tackle the blaze that broke out at 5:30 a.m. at a house in Deal.

Police closed the road and evacuated the house next door. No more details were released.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way, Kent Police said in a statement.
